Lucy Watson: 'James was a mystery to me'

Lucy Watson decided to pursue James Dunmore because she was intrigued by his mysteriousness.

The Made In Chelsea co-stars first started dating last June (15) after growing close as they filmed the show's Los Angeles spin-off series.

Now Lucy, 24, has opened up about the pair's relationship, admitting that she did the legwork when it came to getting together.

"He was a bit mysterious to me," she told Britain's OK! magazine. "I just felt like he was a really nice person and I kind of pursued him really."

The pair now appear to be happier than ever and frequently post loved-up shots of themselves on their various social networking pages. However, Lucy admits that the distribution of power in the relationship is somewhat uneven as she wears the trousers "90 per cent of the time".

"Every now and then he’ll pipe up and shut me down," she added. "I think that’s necessary, though, otherwise I’d just walk all over him. One could say that he’s maybe the secret boss, because he can just put me in my place if he wants to."

Lucy and James' relationship took a more serious step when he said the "L word" recently. The setting was incredibly romantic and Lucy was blown away by her beau's declaration of feelings.

"The first time he told me he loved me was on the beach at sunset in Los Angeles, so that was quite romantic..." she said. "He’d die if he knew that I’d said that, but anyway."

Lucy has a history of dating her co-stars, having previously been romantically linked to co-stars Jamie Laing and Andy Jordan.

She also had a brief dalliance with the show's resident lothario Spencer Matthews.

Spencer was a vital part of the E4 reality show up until 2015, when he left to go into the I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! jungle. However, his revelation that he had been using steroids to bulk up for a charity boxing match saw him forced to take an early exit from the Outback.

Since then there have been reports that Spencer was fired from Made In Chelsea due to the steroid usage. A source has insisted these claims are untrue though, telling Digital Spy that he won't be appearing on the show anymore but that it was a mutual decision.
