Love Island host Caroline: 'I get a lot of flack for my curves'
Caroline Flack won't let herself become a victim of cruel body shaming trolls.
The Love Island presenter showcased her figure in a variety of incredible outfits while hosting the ITV2 show over recent weeks.
But the 37-year-old host has found herself targeted by people criticising her curves on social media.
However, Caroline is determined not to let the mean comments get her down.
"I guess I have taken a lot of flack, but I don’t see myself as a victim because I have such a good life," she told Women's Fitness magazine. "I read all the comments and people must think I’m going through a tough time but actually, I’m in my kitchen eating my cornflakes, about to go to the gym and having a right laugh watching Good Morning Britain.
"You win some and you lose some but I’m not going to go home, cry and quit, because that’s not the way the world works. I’m thankful for the opportunities I’ve had, I’m a lucky girl."
Saying that, Caroline does find that the remarks have an effect on her body confidence.
"It’s not a nice thing to read and get your head around. But you can’t take it to heart, it’s a tiny part of a very big world," she sighed. "
“People will always say throw-away comments. I put myself out there so I guess it comes with the territory.'
Caroline has come a long way since she first started in the industry. Her figure has changed as well over the years, but the brunette beauty has learnt to accept the way she looks - even the bits she doesn't like.
"There will always be things you're insecure about, that's just being human, isn't it? I mean, I've got a really non-symmetrical face but I can't change it," she mused.
"Well, I probably could actually but I'm not going to. I used to hate my boobs but now I like them. I used to want to be thin, but now I'm happy being curvy and strong."
