Lauren Pope 'quitting TOWIE'

Reality star Lauren Pope is rumoured to be leaving The Only Way Is Essex.

The 33-year-old beauty has been a part of the popular show since it began in 2010 and is one of the few original cast members remaining, alongside the likes of Jess Wright and James 'Arg' Argent. However, according to reports Lauren is planning to bow out of the programme at the end of its current 16th series. She's apparently struggling to balance the TV job with other business ventures, with a source divulging to MailOnline that mixing the two is proving hard.

"Her various businesses are doing really well and she's expanding internationally and just can't afford to give the time that TOWIE requires," the insider added.

Another show source told Britain's The Mirror newspaper that her Hair Rehab extensions endeavour is going extremely well and has earned clients including Little Mix. But with TOWIE taking up so much of her valuable time, even after filming, Lauren is said to have realised she can't commit anymore.

"Producers wanted her to stay, but she has too much on at the moment," the source told the tabloid. "She has invested in several other business opportunities and she needs to be present at meetings both in the UK and the US. She’s also had a couple of other TV offers, which she might test the water with.”

Along with her beauty range and TV career Lauren is also involved in music, becoming a DJ in 2007. Alongside mixing tunes for Ministry of Sound she has dabbled in producing tracks too, previously working on UK artist Pierre Lewis' song Broken alongside Heatwave.

Lauren has kept quiet about the rumours though, instead posting messages about her hair extensions on Twitter.
