Lady C quits I'm a Celeb

Lady C has quit I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!.

The socialite and author has caused quite a stir in the 2015 jungle, falling out with campmates Tony Hadley and Duncan Bannatyne, the latter of who she regularly refers to as a "vain old goat".

ITV confirmed on Wednesday (02.01.15) that Lady C had quit on medical grounds, just four days before the final. Many thought the Jamaican-born socialite, real name Georgia Campbell, was in with a shot of winning but those hopes have now been dashed.

Lady C had formed a tight bond with sportsmen Kieron Dyer and Chris Eubank during her time in the Australian Outback, but the trio started to fall apart when Chris was the latest celebrity to get the boot.

"During her time in the jungle, Lady C locked horns with many of her fellow Campmates," a statement on the ITV website read.

"It's fair to say she'll be missed by Kieron in particular though, who she struck up a strong bond with. Only yesterday the pair were laughing and chatting about sport, and how Lady C was a big fan of Cristiano Ronaldo. And, in particular, his body!

"She's certainly delivered some jungle drama over the last few weeks. For now though, farewell Lady C."

Her son Dima has taken to Twitter to assure fans his mother is doing well.

"I'm very sad to announce that, yes my mum @LadyColinCampb is out. She is fine. Dima xx" he posted.

Lady C got her name after marrying Lord Colin Campbell in 1974. The union only lasted a year, but the name stuck. She rose to prominence after penning books on the late Diana, Princess of Wales, with her 1992 tome Diana in Private: The Princess Nobody Knows detailing Diana's struggle with bulimia and affair with James Hewitt.
