Katie Price and Vicky Pattison 'to sign new Loose Women contracts'

Katie Price and Vicky Pattison are reportedly set to renew their contracts for Loose Women.

The pair have both impressed viewers with regular appearances on the daily ITV lunchtime chat show, drawing in an audience thanks to their reality television pasts. And now the Daily Mirror has reported both Katie and Vicky are expected to sign new deals to continue on the programme when their current contracts finish at the end of next month (Aug16).

However, the frequency of their appearances on the show won't be confirmed until the new contracts are presented.

Former Geordie Shore star Vicky has seen her career go from strength to strength since she was crowned Queen of the Jungle on last year's (15) I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!, while Katie is enjoying continued success with her various business ventures including books and perfumes.

Meanwhile, Ruth Langsford and Andrea McLean are thought to be signing new contracts to return as Loose Women's main anchors, with executives reportedly agreeing that Ruth, who also presents This Morning on Fridays alongside husband Eamonn Holmes, is the most successful main host of the series.

Panellists Coleen Nolan, Sherrie Hewson, Janet Street Porter and Nadia Sawalha "should all be safe", the Mirror adds. But Myleene Klass and Rebecca Adlington, who were both tried out with a couple of appearances on the panel, are not expected to return.

"There are lots of exciting surprises in the pipeline for September and the new series," a source told the publication. "It will be back bigger and better than ever to build on current success."

Loose Women has increased its popularity in recent months, with last week's figures 16 per cent up when compared to last year's numbers. It's believed that the departure of Martin Frizell last year (15) and the arrival of Sally Shelford as editor has dramatically contributed to the series' success, as Sally has made it her mission to make the programme "less newsy and more fun".
