Hollyoaks' Anna Passey abused by fan in supermarket
Hollyoaks' actress Anna Passey was abused in a supermarket by a fan who called her a "home-wrecker".
Anna, who plays Sienna Blake on the soap, revealed she is often mistaken for her character, who she describes as one of the "naughtiest girls" in soapland.
And after she was confronted by a viewer she was forced to ditch her shopping basket and run away she revealed in an interview with Channel 4's In Bed With Jamie.
"When I first joined the show, I was having an affair with this character called Darren (Ashley Taylor Dawson) - who everybody really likes," she began. "One day, I was doing my supermarket shopping at the Asda - which is what they say in Liverpool - and a woman came storming over yelling at me. She said 'I can't believe you, you home-wrecking bleep!'"
Despite wearing her usual disguise of a baseball cap the woman still managed to recognise her, leaving Anna red-faced.
"Usually I have a little disguise, I was wearing my baseball cap so I didn't think anyone would know who I was," she laughed.
"I was so embarrassed. I was just thinking, what if people don't watch the show? They are going to think I am this home-wrecking bleep in real life! So I just put down my basket and ran away!"
And judging by her forthcoming storyline, she may need to work on a better disguise as alter ego Sienna won't be having the easiest time on Hollyoaks.
Although Sienna is no longer involved with Darren, she is now pursuing Trevor (Greg Wood) - who is engaged to Grace (Tamara Wall) - all while she's supposed to be getting married to her fiance Ben (Ben Richards).
