Gogglebox's Scarlett Moffatt signs up for I'm a Celebrity - report
Scarlett Moffatt has reportedly signed up for this year's (16) I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!.
The 25-year-old is a fan favourite on Channel 4's hit show Gogglebox, and ITV bosses are said to be thrilled she has agreed to swap the sofa for the jungle to compete on the next series of their programme.
"Scarlett has gone down really well on Gogglebox and I’m A Celeb producers think she’s a perfect fit for them," a source told The Sun newspaper. "Her hilarious one-liners and frank views make great telly for Channel 4, so ITV want a bit of the action.
"They think she can be a better version of Vicky Pattison who unexpectedly won last year’s show."
Scarlett frequently has fans in hysterics with her Gogglebox remarks, with the starlet recently admitting she landed a role on the programme after mistaking Nelson Mandela for rice king Uncle Ben, and ranting for ten minutes about his food products.
She has also hit headlines in recent months thanks to her incredible weight loss - shifting more than two stone after being warned by doctors she was at risk of developing diabetes due to being overweight.
Scarlett is apparently gearing up to release a fitness DVD this Christmas and I'm a Celeb bosses are apparently keen she will show off her new figure in skimpy bikinis when she hits the Australian jungle for the show.
"It's a win-win as she’ll look great in a bikini so will give them the much sought-after waterfall shot they want every year," the source added. "And Scarlett can promote her DVD."
However, Scarlett's decision to sign up for I'm a Celebrity has reportedly left Gogglebox broadcasters Channel 4 less than impressed, The Sun adds. They are said to have previously prevented the star from agreeing a £25,000 endorsement deal with diet brand Forza after not asking for their permission.
ITV do not comment on speculation about the line-up for their jungle show until it is officially unveiled.
