Gemma Collins: 'I didn't hang up on a customer'

The Only Way is Essex star Gemma Collins is "sick" of people knocking her business after claims she was rude to a customer during the latest episode.

The bubbly blonde was seen hanging up on a caller while working in her shop on Sunday night's (28Feb16) show, which has led to viewers questioning her professional manner. However, not one to let an issue lie, Gemma took to Twitter on Tuesday evening (01Mar16) to defend her actions.

"Just want to clear up... TOWIE the other night as you know it's a TV show," she wrote. "When we was filming the phone went and it was an advertising company cold caller to which I said call back in one hour as it was NOT A CUSTOMER (sic).

"We have an amazing customer service ethic and haters gonna hate but truth is my shop is expanding on many levels and I love what I do customer service is key as being a car sales girl back in the day I'm sick of people trying to knock my amazing boutique which is fun friendly and excellent customer service.

"TOWIE is a TV show to which I do the odd cameo as I provide drama to get the show going get a grip people it's not real there was no customer other end ! X peace and love X."

Fans jumped in to support the star, with one describing her as "funny and amazing" while another questioned why people were getting so worked up over such a minor thing.

However not everyone seemed to believe the reality star, as one user called Gemma out for refusing to pose for a photo with her six-year-old daughter while "shouting" down her phone.

This isn't the only drama which Gemma has been involved in since making her comeback to the show on Sunday night's episode, as she also made her co-star Danielle Armstrong cry by claiming her ex is dating someone new.
