Emma Willis bans husband Matt from Strictly Come Dancing
Emma Willis has banned her husband Matt from appearing on Strictly Come Dancing.
The Celebrity Big Brother presenter knows her spouse, who formerly sang in the bands Busted and McBusted, would be incredible on the BBC TV talent show.
But she admits she would be worried about the so-called "Strictly curse" affecting her marriage. The show has a reputation for breaking down relationships due to the very close working conditions of the stars and their professional dance partners, and Emma says her jealousy would definitely get the better of her.
“Matt could do Strictly, because he’s an amazing dancer," she told Woman magazine. "Every now and then he will bust out a pirouette in the middle of the living room and our daughter will be like, ‘Wow, Daddy!’
“But I don’t want him grinding against hot women. I do get jealous, but I think that’s normal. I’m a jealous person. If my husband is around a younger, good-looking woman, I’m like, ‘Stop looking at them!’ We’re women - and for the most part, I think it’s a natural thing that we all have in us."
Matt is no stranger to the reality TV medium, having previously appeared on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! in 2006 and being crowned king of the jungle.
He married Emma in 2008 and they now have three children together, after welcoming daughter Trixie in May (16).
Emma added to the magazine that her husband's career, which sees him regularly strut his stuff on stage, also fuels her jealousy but she does her best to manage it.
"I’m naturally jealous. I’m married to a man who is really hot and is on tour with loads of women screaming at him," she added. "I think I’d have to be extremely confident in myself not to have that in the back of my mind. But at the end of the day, he married me - so I’ve got to remember that."
