Duncan Bannatyne slammed by brother
Millionaire Duncan Bannatyne's brother has lashed out at him, claiming he will "go to his grave" without talking to the businessman again.
The entrepreneur owns a chain of health clubs and rose to fame after appearing on business TV show Dragon's Den. He's now appeared on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, where he's been seen telling posh Lady Colin Campbell there is "nothing wrong with being poor". Duncan's brother Bill has now hit out at him, claiming Duncan should take some of his own advice on board.
"All the time, it’s money, money, money - how much money he’d made and how much he was going to make," Bill claimed to Britain's The Sun newspaper. “He’s s**gged me and the rest of the family off for not having the ambition to be a millionaire. It seems a little bit rich for him to suddenly be proud of his background. I’ll go to my grave without talking to him again - unless he contacts me to say sorry."
Bill alleges Duncan is faking his caring attitude in the Australian jungle as he wants to secure votes from the public to ensure he triumphs.
He also claims the star has been estranged from his family for the last decade, with the starting point of the feud said to be comments Duncan made about his family's supposed lack of ambition when he was promoting his 2006 autobiography Anyone Can Do It: My Story.
Bill remains furious that Duncan appeared to slam their parents while discussing the book too, and he even went as far as joining the “I hate Duncan Bannatyne society” on Facebook.
“Once I asked him if he would help me start a transport business," Bill claimed. "He said, ‘Yeah, sure - but if it doesn’t work out I’ll take your house off you.' He wasn’t joking. As soon as he said that I walked away."
