Danny Dyer's extended break

Danny Dyer has been given an extended Easter break.

The 'EastEnders' star has reportedly had his filming schedule altered by the soap's bosses in order to allow for him, his fiancée Jo and their two younger children, seven-year-old Sunnie and Arty, 18 months, to go on a holiday to the Caribbean.

A source told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: "Everyone has been delighted with Danny's first year on the show - he has thrown himself into the role of Mick wholeheartedly. But appearing in a soap isn't really that glamorous - it is pretty full-on and can be a real treadmill of early starts, late-night filming and reading scripts.

"It can be a real shock to the system for newcomers and everyone needs some time away occasionally to re-charge their batteries and relax. Danny told producers he wanted to enjoy an Easter break with his family, and his filming schedule was sorted to allow him to do so."

And Danny - who plays Mick Carter in the BBC One show - appeared to be thoroughly excited about sunning himself on holiday.

Earlier this week, he tweeted alongside a video of a baby causing chaos in a bar: "Going on holiday with my lovable little mob. So here's a rough idea of what's to come. (sic)"
