Coronation Street's Sean Ward 'worried about Strictly curse'
Ex-Coronation street star Sean Ward apparently wasn't impressed when his girlfriend Georgia May Foote smooched her Strictly Come Dancing partner.
Georgia, who's also Corrie alumni, has been partnered with professional dancer Giovanni Pernice on the ballroom show. On Saturday's (26Sep15) show their dance feature a brief kiss and Giovanni lifting Georgia's skirt.
Sean, who recently saw his Corrie alter ego Callum Logan meet a grisly end, watched from the audience, with sources revealing he was far from impressed.
“Sean was not happy. Everyone keeps talking about the Strictly curse and it’s made him really uncomfortable," an insider Britain's The Sun.
"It’s been hard for Sean because Georgia has been spending so much time rehearsing. She’s assured him he has nothing to worry about and they had a romantic day out on Sunday.”
The Strictly curse refers to the showbiz contestants that end up leaving their real life partners, sometimes hooking up with their dance companions. Stars like Natasha Kaplinsky, Call the Midwife star Helen George and Ben Cohen have all fallen foul, and bookies have made Georgia 3-1 to be the first victim this year.
"Giovanni is single and a real flirt in an Italian way. He is always kissing her hand. But it’s just his way because he is so passionate about creating amazing dance routines," the source added.
However, there seems to be no signs of trouble with the soap stars judging by their social media accounts.
Despite his own exciting night last week (23Sep15) with Coronation Street's live episode, Sean only had Georgia on his mind following filming.
"Chase that dream baby. Im with you all the way #teamgg (sic)," he captioned a shot of Georgia staring out of a plane window on Instagram.
