Chloe Crowhurst 'confirms' Love Island will be back for winter

Love Island's Chloe Crowhurst has appeared to confirm reports ITV are bringing the show back for a winter version.

The 21-year-old blonde beauty was one of the contestants on the 2017 series of the ITV2 show, which surprised everyone when it became even more of a smash than its predecessor.

And now, following the success of the programme, which was won by Kem Cetinay and Amber Davies, ITV bosses are said to be considering bringing it back for another series this year.

Chloe hinted at the move as she spoke to The Sun about her future as a presenter, after being snapped up by This Morning as a Love Island correspondent.

"I love doing This Morning and they loved having me," Chloe told the publication. "There might be something with me coming back as their reporter for Winter Love Island."

She also laughed that she'd be happy to step in and take over from host Caroline Flack if she wasn't able to present the winter spin-off.

“I’d love to be a presenter on the Winter Love Island series as well – which might work out… Let’s see," she smiled.

Chloe's comments seem to align with the Daily Star's report that ITV are already scouting locations for a winter reality show to rival Big Brother in Tenerife as Mallorca, where Love Island was set, would be too cold in the winter.

According to the publication, the show would start after I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! comes to an end, meaning that it would premiere in January (18) - at around the same time as Celebrity Big Brother on Channel 5.

"The public have shown they can’t get enough of Love Island and this year has been the show’s ‘watercooler moment’," a source told the newspaper. "ITV is really keen to exploit the massive momentum it’s got at the minute and bosses are thinking really big all the time."
