Charlotte Crosby: 'My romance with Gary is real'

Charlotte Crosby has hit out at reports her rekindled relationship with Gary 'Gaz' Beadle is a publicity stunt.

Charlotte, 25, and Gary, 27, have been involved in an on-off romance during their 11 series on MTV programme Geordie Shore. They recently decided to give things another go after castmate Holly Hagan accidentally broadcasted images of them kissing during a Snapchat conversation.

Following their revelation that they are dating, Gary's ex-girlfriend Lillie Lexie Gregg hit out at the couple, insisting the romance is purely a way to grab headlines.

But Charlotte has now come forward to respond to Lillie's comments, insisting they never meant to hurt anybody with their romance.

"The suggestion that Charlotte and Gary have rekindled their relationship as some kind of set up publicity stunt would be laughable if it wasn't so hurtful and insensitive toward Lillie," Charlotte's representative told OK! Online.

Charlotte's rep continued: "This all came about as a result of a drunken Snapchat posted by Holly Hagan which neither Gary or Charlotte were aware of till they woke up to a media storm the following day.

"Both Charlotte and Gary are single (at the same time) for the first time in years and were together in London coincidentally for multiple work and social commitments which overlapped. They are taking things one day at a time, they certainly never intended to hurt anybody."

Despite the claims the pair is taking things slowly, Gary revealed earlier this week he had already looked up details on how to get married in Las Vegas, sparking rumours he and Charlotte could be walking down the aisle when they fly out to Nevada in March (16).

"I’ve looked up annulments and they cost £6,000, so I’ve done my research!" Gary told Star magazine. "But it would be funny to get married in Vegas."

But Gary has previously insisted he couldn't become Mr Crosby. After Charlotte said she wanted a "waterslide and an elephant" at her wedding, Gary admitted he has different ideas for his big day.

"Oh my God, I couldn't marry her. I think I'd just wanna walk down the aisle, to be honest," Gary told Sugarscape last year (14). "We probably will end up getting married to be honest with you, just not yet. Five years time...or thirty."
