Charlotte Crosby launches Strictly Come Dancing bid

Charlotte Crosby would love to compete on Strictly Come Dancing.

The 26-year-old is most famous for appearing on MTV reality show Geordie Shore, with her on-off relationship with Gary Beadle providing much of the programme's drama. But after announcing her departure from the series earlier this year (16), Charlotte is now hoping to get a chance to show off her moves on BBC's celebrity dancing show.

In an interview with The Sun Online, Charlotte revealed Strictly is at the top of her dream shows, with I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! not far behind.

"(I'm a Celebrity) is definitely something I would consider..." Charlotte said. "I think that it would be very hard and I honestly admire anyone for doing it.

"But it’s definitely not something I would rule out. I would love to be given a really big exciting project."

Another development Charlotte is hoping for this year is some movement in her love life. Her romance with Gary came to a dramatic end amid allegations that he had been unfaithful.

Charlotte later revealed that she had fallen pregnant with Gary's baby, but then suffered an ectopic pregnancy. But Charlotte insists she is not letting her failed romance put her off finding love again in the near future.

“I haven’t lost faith in all men – I’m doing something really exciting at the minute where I’ve met lots of amazing people who have restored my faith in men and the male race..." she said. "I would like to start dating again in the close future."

After Charlotte announced her departure from Geordie Shore, many fans took to Twitter to encourage bosses to cancel the series because it would be so lacking. However, Charlotte believes that her exit isn't going to have much of a negative impact on the show.

"I think Geordie Shore will keep on going from strength to strength," she said. "It’s an amazing show. It’s still got some amazing castmembers in it and I just really think that Geordie Shore will constantly go."
