Caroline Flack: I fancied Olly

Caroline Flack used to fancy Olly Murs.

The presenting duo were given a career boost earlier this year when they were promoted from their past The Xtra Factor duties to full blown X Factor hosts after Dermot O'Leary departed the post.

Caroline and Olly have undeniable chemistry, but have always kept things in the friend zone. However Caroline admits she once wanted more.

"I did fancy you when we first started," Caroline revealed to Olly in Heat magazine.

"I used to watch you on I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! Now! and thought you seemed like a top person, really lovely, who I could go out for a drink and have a laugh with. It’s almost like when you think of girlfriends – you’re the perfect girlfriend," Olly diplomatically responded.

For the magazine's accompanying photoshoot the pair rock a relaxed look. Olly looks cool in a white vest and turned up blue jeans, while Caroline brings the sex factor in high waisted black knickers teamed with a men's white shirt. At one point she evens dons a pair of black heels as she rides on Olly like a horse.

Caroline's toned physique is in part down to her triumphant turn on 2014's Strictly Come Dancing. The 35-year-old already has a good idea who will take her crown this year.

"I’ve met all the [Strictly] contestants and they’re brilliant. I’ve heard the standard of their dancing is really high this year... Probably [Peter] Andre [to win]. He’s going to do quite well, isn’t he?" she smiled.

It's been predicted that Strictly will trounce X Factor in this year's ratings, with the two shows going head-to-head from next weekend.

Former judge Louis Walsh and host Dermot think they know why the singing comp has lost its sparkle.

"I haven’t seen Louis for ages but I got a text from him last week saying, ‘They are missing us, Dermot — have you seen the ratings?’ He was loving that," Dermot laughed to The Sun, adding:

"I don’t watch it religiously now because I was on it for so long and I have got my weekends back."
