Two Irish women have opened up about their experience as 'Sugar Babies' which sees them date men twice their age in exchange for designer shoes, cash allowances and exotic foreign holidays.

The women revealed the intricate details of their arrangements as part of a TV3 investigation into SeekingArrangements.com a website which matches women with wealthy men.

The website has seen a 14pc increase in Irish users, both male and female, since 2014 and the average male user of the service is most likely to be in his forties, based in Dublin and earning in excess of €250,000.

Speaking to Ireland AM, Natasha (19) revealed she has two part-time 'Sugar Daddies' who live abroad but frequent Dublin for work as well as one full-time Sugar Daddy based in Leinster.

"I see it as a job that's practical.

"It makes me feel glamorous, it makes me feel sexy, it makes me feel powerful and it makes me feel like I'm in charge of my life and makes me have that power," she said.

Twenty-year-old Siobhan, who spoke confidentially to the programme, has travelled to the UK more than ten times to meet with a man, with whom she has sex.

"If you meet up with these guys they offer trips and shopping sprees whereas I don't think you'd get that from just normal guys," she said.

"He lived in the UK so I was apprehensive at first. He said he really wanted to meet me. He said we can Skype and I can prove my age, my documents and my income. Everything.

"So I went over to see him," she said.

Siobhan, whose family is unaware of her trips, said her first visit to the UK involved shopping sprees and expensive dinners.

"We had lunch in his house and then we went shopping and he bought me gifts. He bought me new make-up and new heels. They were Louboutins. Then we came back and went out for dinner. He said he wanted to be my sugar daddy," she said.

Siobhan admitted that the pair had already discussed sex before her arrival and that it "wasn't a problem".

"With him, we already discussed sex. We wanted to see if we were interested in each other. I was going to stay the night with him anyway in his house. Sex was no problem.

"He's giving me €500 a month. Once a month we go for dinner and drinks and spend the night together. If I need to go on holiday with the girls he will give me that as well," she said.

According to the website there are more than 23,000 Irish women signed up to the service.
