This eyewitness description of a car crash is being lauded as interview of the year
The description of a car crash given by a witness at the scene is being lauded as the "interview of the year."
The man goes by the name of Courtney Barnes, and his interview is definitely one of the more memorable.
Barnes gave the interview to TV stations in Jackson, Mississippi and his description of the accident was as bizarre and amazing as his eccentric appearance.
He told reporters he was on his way to Burger King when he witnessed the incident.
"I’m a witness here and what I seen was a horrible, tragic situation.
"I was on my way to buy a burger from Burger King and I just stopped - because my hunger just went away.
"The guy was coming down and I guess the police was trying to do a [traffic] stop and the man said, ‘No, not today.’ And they began to race behind each other like cats and dogs.
"When I seen that accident, I just had to understand that someone was experiencing this difficult moment – ma’am, I just cannot continue to bear to talk."
The interview is internet gold, with pop star Nicki Minaj posting it to her Instagram account and The Washington Post calling it the “interview of the year”.
It is reminiscent of Antione Dodson, who became internet famous after this TV interview remix some years ago.
Fortunately, the police officer injured in the accident was not seriously injured and was due for release from hospital today.
