The 20 funniest films ever made
The Writers Guild of America have voted Annie Hall as the funniest movie script ever written.
The Woody Allen classic, which was released in 1977, got the nod ahead of a host of much loved movies.
The Guild ranked 101 movies but it was Allen's story of his character Alvy SInger's relationship with Diane Keaton's Annie Hall that won the vote of the experts.
In total, Allen had seven films in the top 101 making him the most featured writer on the list.
Second to Annie Hall was another classic, 1959's Some Like It Hot while a modern favourite, Groundhog Day was third.
The most recent film to make the list is 2011 Bridesmaids while the oldest in the list is Charlie Chaplin's The Gold Rush, from 1925.
