Teen dies after being flung from roller-coaster in Benidorm
An 18-year-old was hurled to his death from a roller-coaster in Benidorm yesterday.
The ride, called inferno, is in the Terra Mitica theme park , took the life of a teenage boy who has yet to be named and was originally thought to be British but is not believed to be Icelandic.
The boy was killed after his harness failed causing him to be flung from the roller-coaster.
The teen, who was on holidays with his parents and a friend, suffered horrific injuries, but was still alive when paramedics arrived to the scene.
He died a shortly afterwards of a heart arrest while in the ambulance.
Benidorm's National Police said: "We are still investigating and can't give out any information about the victim or his age or nationality at this stage."
