Russell Crowe and an Irish reporter get awkward on the red carpet
Reporter Niamh Walsh created a very awkward situation at the Irish premier of Noah this weekend when she asked Hollywood A-lister Russell Crowe if his rugby-league club would consider playing a match against the rugby-union playing Ireland international team.
Crowe politely informed Walsh that the two teams play different sports, with a different amount of men on the field.
In a rather classless move, the spurned reporter then embarrassingly asks the actor why he said he would visit the UK when Ireland isn’t part of the UK.
The Aussie star told Walsh that he was on a “tour of this area of this world” before removing himself from the awkward questioning.
Following this, Evoke.ie showed how much research they had done by getting the name of Crowe’s club wrong in an article defending their reporter.
He owns the South Sydney Rabbitohs not the South City Dragons, which don't exist.
