Budding reporters put to the test and crown Ireland’s newest social superstar

Coca-Cola challenged five of Ireland’s best budding reporters to show how they “Keep It Chill” in a series of temperature-raising situations, with the help of super-cool TV presenter and YouTuber Stephen Byrne. A new video from Coca-Cola shows Stephen throw curveballs their way.

Our chill reporters show how they keep it cool, calm and collected through a series of challenges – navigating an autocue malfunction, giving their best Blue Steel when a model fails to turn up, and handling a nerve-wracking solo live broadcast.

The winning contestant, Chika, will report live from all three days of Longitude, with Stephen on hand to share all his best tips and tricks for becoming a world-class reporter.

In addition to reporting all the breaking news at Longitude, Chika will also have the opportunity to see the best acts at festivals all around Ireland this summer, including Tennent’s Vital and Electric Picnic.

 Stephen said: “I had so much fun with our finalists. Every one of them was super talented, had a great energy and, most importantly, up for the craic!

 They remind me a lot myself when I first started in the world of reporting and presenting – it’s amazing to see the passion these guys have, and it was so rewarding to share what I’ve learned with them. I’m sure I’ll see them on my TV and in my newsfeed very soon!”

 In addition to its roving reporter, Coca-Cola is sponsoring the Longitude Lounge for the second year running.

 To keep the chill vibes coming, Coca-Cola will also be exclusively unveiling Ireland’s first thermochromic vending machine which dispenses festival prizes based on your body temperature.

The brand has also unveiled its thermochromic cans that change colour when they reach their optimal chill temperature.
