Police shut down illegal rubber duck race
Police have stopped an illegal rubber duck race.
A group of officers were forced to shut down the charity event which raised money for Blood Bikes - who offer a free blood and medical equipment delivery service to NHS facilities - held at Bourton-on-the-water in the Cotswolds because they believed the event in the Gloucester village was disturbing the peace, according to the Huffington Post.
Officers swept into action after the tip-off and threatened to arrest the organisers if the event wasn't shut down, much to the disappointment of local people in the village.
Speaking about the incident, a local resident said: "It is frankly unfair to expect the villagers to put up with such nonsense from these undesirables who ruin the peace and quiet and then accuse us of being kill-joys."
