A police officer has been sacked for allegedly filming people having sex in dogging spots.

Adrian Pogmore, 48, has already been removed from his position after he was alleged to have taken the footage recorded from South Yorkshire Police force's helicopter.

The force explained: "Following a gross misconduct investigation an officer appeared before a Special Case Hearing with the Chief Constable on Friday, 6 March.

"He was dismissed without notice."

Pogmore is thought to have separated from his wife, Lesley, 49, who subsequently contacted police about the recordings.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "They removed a disc and after interviewing him concluded that he had a case to answer."
