Off the back of a successful phone service he launched to give motivational chats to pets, Noel Edmonds is now planning to launch a radio station for pets.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, the TV host said: “We have now decided to bring forward our plans to launch the world's first radio station exclusively for animals - Positively Pets - and hope to be on-air by Christmas.

“I’m inviting pet lovers to send in their audio messages for their loved ones and we will broadcast them plus music requests and "special relaxing tones" for pets left at home alone," he added.

Edmonds launched the phone service where owners could book a call from Edmonds to their pet where they would receive “positive words of appreciation”.

The 67-year old claims to have had over 2,000 requests for the service via e-mail in just four hours, inspiring him to go one further and launch a radio station.

On the site for the dial-a-pet service Edmonds says:

'It's amazing how a simple brief phone call can pick up the spirits of the most dejected hamster, the most stressed goldfish and the most neurotic cat.

'Please allow me to call your pet and offer positive words of appreciation and motivation.'

While some have questioned whether the Deal or No Deal presenter has 'lost the plot' others are speculating it is all an elaborate hoax from the eccentric star.
