New study says most Irish people stalk their exes online
A survey conducted by Encounters.com, Ireland’s dating site for married people, claims that sixty four per cent of users have trawled through social media in search of pictures of an old flame.
The report also goes on to claim that more than a quarter of those surveyed have got back in touch with their first love through social media and that 15 per cent had slept with an ex after reconnecting online.
A further 21 per cent admitted to having considered sleeping with an ex after reconnecting.
Encounters.com’s poll also found that 99 per cent of people said they have found love before the age of 40.
A separate extramarital affair website hit the headlines in 2015 after the names of its users were published online by a group of hackers.
The names of 110,000 Irish Ashely Madison users were among the millions outed by the hacktivists.
