Man robs bank to avoid wife

A man has robbed a bank at gun point because didn't want to spend time with his wife.

Larry Ripple, 70, took almost $3,000 from a bank in Kansas after telling his wife he'd "rather be in jail than at home" during an argument.

After he stole the money, Larry took a seat in the lobby instead of fleeing, and told a security guard "I'm the man you're looking for" before the guard called the FBI.

FBI Special Agent Eric R. Beltz said: "[Larry] and his wife had an argument at home and [he] no longer wanted to be in the situation. Ripple wrote out his demand note in front of his wife, and told her he'd rather be in jail than at home. Ripple then walked to the bank and robbed it."
