Man gets stuck in ATM, pushes 'help me' note out of receipt slot
A man working in a bank's ATM room in Texas got stuck and had to push a 'help me' note out the receipt slot so he could be rescued.
The incident took place yesterday in a bank in Corpus Christi in Texas when a man was fixing an ATM room in a Bank of America branch.
While changing a lock a worker got stuck inside the room that contains the ATM and he is reported by local media to have left his phone in his truck.
The ATM was still working, and people were still using it, so the desperate workman slipped a 'help me' not out the ATM receipt slot.
While some customers thought it was a joke one person did call the number and the worker was rescued after cops managed to kick down the door.
Speaking to KRISTV, Officer Richard Olden said: "We come out here, and sure enough we can hear a little voice coming from the machine. So we are thinking this is a joke. It's got to be a joke.
Olden added: "Everyone is okay, but you will never see this in your life, that somebody was stuck in the ATM, it was just crazy."
