Dublin lifeguard Janet Grogan is through to the next round of X Factor after a dramatic night in the brutally cruel Six Chair Challenge.

Grogan relived her nightmare from two years ago as she battled through the latest round of the ITV talent show, with her memories from her appearances on X Factor 2014 seeing her dumped out of the competition at this stage.

Simon Cowell later admitted he was wrong to let Janet go and that inspired the 28-year-old to return for another crack at pop stardom.

After impressing the judges in the opening rounds, she faced a tough task to make it through to judges houses by securing a place in the final six of the Over 25's category and she scraped in after being handed a seat in place of Irina Dedyuk, who removed half of her clothing mid-way through her performance.

Grogan's performance was a little more conventional, as she belted out Ariana Grande’s One Last Time.

Janet will now look to nail down one of the precious places up for grabs in the live finals when she auditions once again for Osbourne at her judges house next week.

Meanwhile, there was a twist after the show had been recorded as Ivy Grace Paredes dropped out of the competition because visa issues left her unable to travel to America for the Judges' Houses section of the show.

That allowed novelty act Honey G to return, despite being told to leave by Sharon in the Six Chair Challenge show aired on Monday night.

We think you you agree this act is not quite as impressive as our girl Janet!
