If Aliens do exist than they're huge
A scientist believes that should aliens exist they would be massive.
Cosmologist Fergus Simpson, a scientist at the University of Barcelona, conclude that if aliens do in fact exist, they could weigh up to 300 kg.
Simpson's theory behind it sprouted from observations our own planet.
Here on Earth, larger animals need more resources and are therefore less abundant. Earth is considered a planet dominated by smaller lifeforms – including humans.
The scientist used body forms and sizes on earth to come up with a distribution of body sizes of other organisms in space.
From this he concluded that extraterrestrials could be absolutely enormous.
While other experts agree with Mr Simpson’s average size calculation, some have disputed the findings on the grounds of a lack of data.
‘It’s interesting, but there’s really no concrete data to work with.’ said Seth Shostak, a researcher at the SETI Institute.
He added that the theory was inconclusive as he had not taken gravity or evolutionary theories into account.
