'Fliuch' hit the internet yesterday, claiming to be the first ever porno mag for Gaeilgeoir

Following its appearance on Twitter in February, under the handle @FliuchMag, a 20-page magazine appeared online yesterday.

Featuring a mix of male and female models in various states of undress, the magazine, whose title translates as 'wet', may do more to encourage the Irish language than any initiative ever set up by the State.

Today's Irish Daily Star talks to one of the publishers, Daithi O Cinneidi, and he says the magazine just reflects that Irish speakers were just as into sex as those who favour English.

"Some people have the ridiculous concept that Irish is really old fashioned and that nothing interesting happens in it or through it," he said. "This couldn't be further from the truth."
