Dublin doughnut shop sells ‘weed’ infused goodies to willing punters

Dublin's hippest doughnut dispensary Aungier Danger has ramped up their treats today with a pinch of the naughty spice.

The shop flogged doughnuts that were infused with 'weed' to promote the legalisation of the contentious herb for medicinal use.

Queues were down the road with punters flocking to taste the delicious, illegal treats.

The only thing is, the doughnuts didn't actually contain any cannabis at all,  as staff were reluctant to spend the evening in a cell at Harcourt St station.

Phil Costello from Aungier Danger told sundayworld.com:

"So ultimately we stayed up all night working on recipes for the weed doughnut and ended up going with a peanut Oreo crunch filling, which kinda tastes like weed.

The whole stunt is aimed as raising awareness for the legalisation of medicinal cannabis in Ireland.

"We are trying to raise awareness and to help the people who are unwell and would benefit from cannabis based painkillers and treatments.

"After all it is 2016."
