Driver gives cops best excuse ever for having a sheep in the car
A driver in England offered a wonderful excuse for having a sheep in the back of his car when stopped by police last night.
The North Yorkshire Police Roads Policing Group pulled over the Peugeot 206 last night when they spotted two bald tyres on the car.
But on closer inspection, there was a woolly companion in the back seat.
Ewe have got to be kidding!!! Officers have just stopped this car which has 2 bald tyres and a sheep in the boot pic.twitter.com/J7yM7wsDaS— NorthYorksPolice RPG (@NYorksRPG) August 5, 2015
We are no stranger to animals in the back of cars in Ireland but the practice is a little more unusual in England so the police asked the man why he had the sheep in the car.
His response was fantastic.
A spokeswoman for the police said: “He told the officer, ‘some people take their dogs in their cars, I take my sheep’. He [the motorist] just wanted to go for a drive-through at McDonalds.”
The car was stopped near a drive-through McDonalds on the A1 so we have a feeling he was telling the truth.
We wonder what the sheep ordered?
