Catfish falls from sky and hits woman

A five pound catfish fell from the sky and smacked a woman on the head in Philadelphia over the weekend.

Lisa Lobree feared for her life when the hefty marine creature plummeted towards her from the clouds above and "slammed" into her while she was going about her business.

Speaking to the Philadelphia Inquirer newspaper, she said: "Suddenly I was slammed by something. I was like, 'What?' I was freaking out. It's probably one of the strangest things that have happened to me in my life."

Ms. Lobree - who thinks the fish was dropped by a bird - spent half an hour in the shower trying to get rid of the stench.

Her friend Cameron Abrams uploaded a photograph of Ms. Lobree next to the fish along with the caption: "A five pound catfish fell fifty feet out of a sycamore, dropped by a clumsy bald eagle, and hit Lisa Lobree in the face!"

Ms. Lobree shared the image on her own social networking site and wrote: "This is me after falling to the ground screaming and showering for 30 minutes to get the smell off. Only a small cut and swollen face. A memory to last forever though. (sic)"
