Boy suspended from school for stealing chicken nuggets
A boy has been suspended from school for taking an extra chicken nugget at lunchtime.
Carson Koller, a student at Farragut High School in Knoxville, Tennessee, was handed the 'theft of property' notice after he took six of the battered chicken pieces instead of five.
When he came home with the news, his mother was confused, and took to Facebook to share the news.
Carrie Koller Waller wrote: "My Eagle Scout, captain of the drum line, all-around hardworking and well-rounded teenager just got suspended from a day of school (and after school band practice) for taking an extra chicken nugget from the lunch line."
Carrie then got in touch with the school's Principal, who promptly revoked Carson's suspension.
Carrie updated her Facebook friends by writing: "Principal Siebe addressed my letter promptly and, after additional investigation, quickly lifted Carson's suspension. Honestly, I appreciate the way Siebe handled this. He was very willing to review the situation and make things right. Carson only missed part of his first class today."
