Boxer Carl Froch attempts to lift Thor's iconic hammer
Retired world champion boxer Carl Froch and a host of children took on the challenge of trying to lift Thor's Hammer in Nottingham at the weekend.
A replica of the Scandinavian God of Thunder's iconic tool was displayed in the city's Cornerhouse shopping centre, allowing families and fans to test their superhero powers by attempting to lift the weapon.
Steven Armstrong, VP of Europe North at Feld Entertainment, Inc said: "We are delighted to bring Marvel Universe LIVE! to the UK, giving families an opportunity to enjoy this spectacular live show for the very first time. The appearance of Thor's hammer in Nottingham will already give fans an idea of what it feels like to be transported into the Marvel Universe and the show will bring an engrossing storyline and non-stop stunts."
The show brings together the largest assembly of Marvel characters, including Spider-Man, Iron Man, Hulk, Black Widow and more, as they battle Loki and Marvel's most sinister villains in a live, action-packed arena performance.
It is hailed as the most technically advanced live show ever, with cutting-edge special effects, pyrotechnics, aerial stunts, martial arts, motorcycles and more.
