Paddy Power asked 1,000 American women to rate 645 inter-county GAA players and now the results are in

With the name recognition factor removed, the bookie believes this survey is the definitive list of who's hot and who's not in the world of GAA.

Féilim Mac An Iomaire, a spokesperson for Paddy Power, said “Fame and success tend to bias surveys like this this so we decided to remove it, and we genuinely believe that we have found the 100 players who would fare just as well in Coppers as they would in Croke Park.”

So, who topped the poll?

Overall, Dublin hurler Shane Durkin (below) can now be crowned the hottest man in GAA. The bookmaker spoke to Durkin to see how he took the news.

'When I was first contacted by Paddy Power I initially thought it was the lads playing a prank on me. However when I was assured it wasn't, I was quietly delighted and chuffed. '

Fellow Dub Bernard Brogan was only 42nd while the likes of Joe Canning, Aidan O'Shea and Shane O'Donnell didn't make the top 100 at all. For the full top 100, just click here.

The survey also broke down the favourite, and least favourite players by a whole host of categories, as you can see below.

The hottest XV in each code was also chosen as was the best looking panel, which isn't much a confidence booster for Tyrone ahead of their big game at the weekend.
