Following on from Tuesday’s dramatic landing at Cork airport, we have put together some of the most terrifying videos of airplane landings ever recorded.

For those who missed yesterday’s instalment of “Why pilots are paid a fortune” here it is below.

The pilot of this Stobart Air flight deserves a pat on the back after encountering cross winds on the approach to the Airport.

Things didn’t go as smoothly for the passengers and crew aboard Turkish Airlines flight TK 1878 as it was forced to make a terrifying emergency landing.

Thankfully no one was killed.

This next piece of footage shows just how low some aircraft pass as they land at the Caribbean holiday hot spot of St Maarten.

Maybe you just shouldn't hang out behind the runway.

Virgin Atlantic pilot David Williams brought his Boeing 747 down with no right wing landing gear before coolly telling the press:

"Clearly this was an out of the ordinary landing, but I was just doing my job and any one of our pilots would have taken the same actions.
