A salmon waits patiently before crossing a road
A salmon has been caught trying to cross a road.
The ray-finned fish has trying to manoeuvre itself across the 40 miles per hour road, after a nearby river partially flooded the nearby road.
In a clip, which has been obtained by The Telegraph Online, the animal was spotted on the pavement before hopping onto the road and making a quick dash for the other side in pursuit of its fellow escapees.
The salmons can be seen waiting for traffic to pass before taking the leap of faith and darting across the two lanes swerving oncoming vehicles.
