Spain...Sun, Sea, Sand and much, much more
Just along the Mediterranean coastline from the French border, the rocky shoreline is riddled with small coves and broken up with long, flat beautiful beaches backed by bustling resorts
And then there's the region's beating heart, Barcelona - an easy day trip away from all our Spanish holiday parks.
This proud region is oozing with culture. You can't move for fiestas, feasts and festivals. Then there's all the dance and music, set to a stunning architectural backdrop of everything from impressive Moorish domes to swanky art deco houses. And what about the off-the-beaten-track beauty of the unspoilt interior? Bueno!
Costa Brava & Costa Dorada
Come for the sun, sea and sand...and so much more in one of Spain's most exhilarating region. Coastlines with not only fantastic beaches but medieval towns, traditional fishing villages, thrilling amusement parks, exciting water sports and lively nightlife. Also on the menu, the authentic flavour of Catalan hospitality.
Think holidays to the Costa Brava and characteristic coastlines, beautiful coves and transparent waters spring to mind. Most of us head this way for some fun on the beach, especially if you are travelling with children.
It goes without saying that camping holidays in the Costa Dorada are most loved for the wonderful sandy beaches that stretch for over 200 kilometres from the south of Barcelona. It'll come as no surprise that the name Costa Dorada means the 'golden coast'. The safe, shallow waters and miles of sand found close to our three holiday parks are the perfect playground for children.
What to eat & drink in Spain
'Caters for all tastes' is one of those phrases that gets bandied around quite a lot. But family holidays in Spain can actually live up to the claim. From chorizo to chips - and everything in between - the choice here is infinite whether you're self-catering or eating out.
It's worth touring the tapas bars and digging into small portions of lots of yummy dishes. Try the hearty 'butifarra' sausage and bean stew or if you're feeling like a treat, the lobster Catalan. Other delicious highlights include anchovies from Escala, chorizo ham, spit-roasted chickens and not forgetting infamous paella!
Big and butch Rioja Crianza and other Navarra reds are favourite accompaniments to most dishes but fresh and often fizzy Rosados from Penedes are popular alternatives especially with seafood in the summertime.#
What to see and do in Spain
Our Spanish campsites are perfectly placed for exploring some of Catalonia's many attractions. From the craggy coastline and picturesque coves of the Costa Brava to the Costa Dorada's long sweeping sands, it's no wonder these sun-kissed shores have holidaymakers returning year after year.
Where the chic wealthy Catalans hang out in the summer, the Fiesta Major is the highlight of the social scene each August. Dive into the bonkers surreal world of Salvador Dali complete with eggs on the roof of his museum.
