Tula Contostavlos back with Sweet new single
Tula Contostavlos has unveiled her comeback single 'Sweet Like Chocolate'.
The former 'X Factor' judge - who first shot to fame as a member of multi-platinum selling band N-Dubz - will make her return to the music scene for the first time in two years when she releases her new track on Friday (02.09.16) with AATW Records/Universal.
The track is a reworking of garage act Shanks & Bigfoot's monster 1999 hit of the same name and Tulisa loved taking one of her favourite songs and putting her own spin on it.
Ahead of the release, Tulisa posted on Twitter a video teaser to fans along with the caption: "Released this Friday ... Sweet Like Chocolate."
The single - which can be previewed on YouTube - is produced by SOS and features rap star Akelle of smash R&B trio WSTRN.
Speaking about the track, Tulisa said: "I've taken the chorus of an old school classic and written around it. It's one of the most loved tracks of the 90s, and one of my favourite songs as a child. It was amazing to remake and rewrite a song like 'Sweet Like Chocolate', it feels like a good way to come back."
The video for 'Sweet Like Chocolate', shot by Daps - who has worked with Iggy Azalea, Kenrick Lamar and Jordan Sparks - shows a stunning and playful Tulisa enjoying a hot Ibiza summer with her friends by the pool, on quadbikes and flyboarding in the sea.
During her days with N-Dubz - also comprised of Dappy and Fazer - Tulisa achieved two platinum albums and won four MOBO Awards.
During her time on 'The X Factor', Tulisa was responsible for mentoring two of the show's biggest successes Little Mix and Ella Henderson.
