From Rufus Wainright to Jools Holland there is a serious weekend of music available out west.

The last big festival of 2015, Sligo Live, kixks off this Bank Holiday Weekend. 

Ireland's Folk, Roots & Indie Festival celebrates 11 years of quality music on the Wild Atlantic Way from October 21-26.  

This is the festival where you don’t need to get your feet wet!

With all festival performances in fantastic indoor locations across beautiful Sligo town, event goers will be treated to the full festival experience without ever having to get mud on their boots.  

And with over 80 performances, and over 300 performers, over the six days, of which 80 per cent are free, it is a great way to spean a few days out west.

This year’s SLIGO LIVE festival highlights include RUFUS WAINWRIGHT (Fri 23 Knocknarea Arena, THE WATERBOYS (Sat 24, Knocknarea Arena), JOOLS HOLLAND and HIS 21 PIECE RHYTHM & BLUES ORCHESTRA (Sun 25, Knocknarea Arena), RALPH McTELL, ALTAN (Sun 25, Hawk’s Well Theatre), DRAIOCHT, RACKHOUSE PILFER, ENSEMBLE ERIU, PAULINE BLACK & GAPS HENDRICKSON from The Selecter, THE WHILEAWAYS, THE JIMMY CAKE, JAWBONE, Our Dear Dark Mountain with the Sky Over It, THIS SIDE UP, INDIAN, WHEN PEACE COMES DROPPING SLOW, MILES GRAHAM and many more at venues all over Sligo.  

Add the dynamic Sligo Sessions, the Arrivals emerging artists’ strand, unique 3-Stage Festival Club, Food Trail, Festival Fringe and Sligo’s stunning setting on the Wild Atlantic Way and you have the perfect place for an autumn break.
