Dan Stevens joins Colossal
Dan Stevens will play Anne Hathaway's love interest in 'Colossal'.
The former 'Downton Abbey' actor has landed the role opposite Oscar winner Anne and Jason Sudeikis, according to Variety.
Sci-fi movie 'Colossal' tells the story of a woman who moves back to her hometown from New York after finding herself unemployed and ending a relationship and becomes connected to a giant creature that is "wreaking havoc on the city of Seoul, South Korea".
Dan will play the ex-boyfriend who tries to win her back.
Nacho Vigalondo is writing and directing the movie which is currently in production in Vancouver.
Dan was previously confirmed for the live action adaptation of 'Beauty and the Beast' in which he will play the Beast opposite Emma Watson.
The movie follows a young woman, Belle, who is pursued by two men, a cursed prince turned into a beast, and Gaston. When she chooses the beast, her spurned suitor recruits a mob to hunt down and kill his hairy rival.
The movie will also star Emma Thompson, Luke Evans and Sir Ian McKellen.
