Revealed: Top 10 most-busted Dublin streets for clamping
The top ten likeliest places for Dublin motorists to have their vehicles clamped in the city have been revealed.
The list of well-known Dublin streets was compiled by Dublin City Council, who also released figures on how much revenue is brought in from both de-clamping and paid on-street parking.
Ormond Quay Upper, which contains several public parking spaces near the Four Courts, tops the clamping black spot list.
It is followed closely by Mespil Road and Burlington Road, both located in Ballsbridge near businesses and embassies.
Merrion Square West, which topped the list in 2014, dropped to sixth, while Molesworth Street, Gardiner Street Lower, Earlsfort Terrace and South Circular Road are all new entries to 2015’s top ten.
The council raised a huge €4.1million from de-clamp fees in 2015, while raking in an enormous €25.4milllion from paid on-street parking.
There were almost 55,000 cars clamped in Dublin City during the course of 2015.
