Kia Motors has launched two new models into their Irish fleet today, namely the Niro and Optima.

The Niro, a low-emission hybrid crossover is said to have the practicality and curbside appeal of a spacious crossover, together with the high fuel efficiency of an advanced hybrid powertrain.

While the Optima takes over as the brand's premium spacious large family and fleet car.

The Irish Niro EXL model will include the following as standard: Sat Nav with Android auto, full leather heated seats, heated steering wheel, dual aircon with rain sensor, lane keep assist, LED front and rear lights and privacy glass.

Kia Motors Ireland is offering the Optima in three trim levels EX, Platinum and GSE all powered with a 1.7D power unit .

The entry-level but generously-specced EX model start at €29,950 and includes 18-inch alloy wheels, sat nav, climate control, lane-departure assist and speed-limit information as standard .

Prices for the Kia Optima 1.7 CRDi Platinum will start at €29,950, road tax will be in the A3 band (€190) and fuel consumption is said to be 4.2l/100km.

Prices for the Niro start at €30,595 (€29,095 inc VRT reduction) with emissions as low as 88 g/km meaning it is in road tax band A2 (€180) and fuel consumption is said to be 3.8 litres per 100 km
