Ford Ireland has partnered with Make-A-Wish Ireland and is lending its support as the main sponsor of the charity’s annual Make-A-Wish Crystal Ball.

The Ball takes place this year at the DoubleTree by Hilton, Burlington Road, Dublin 4 on Saturday May 16, 2015.

Make-A-Wish Ireland grants wishes to children aged between 3 and 17 years living with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.

A wish granted is true magic for the child, providing respite from their normal routines of hospitals, doctors and treatment.  Since inception in 1992, the charity has granted over 1,700 wishes in Ireland.

Ciarán McMahon, Chairman and Managing Director of Ford Ireland, said: “We are delighted to be supporting the hugely valuable work of Make-A-Wish in Ireland and to be involved with their annual black tie ball.

We look forward to what is sure to be a very special and entertaining event.  And this won’t be just a once off activity, as we hope to establish Ford as an ongoing supporter of Make-A-Wish Ireland”.

Commenting on the association with Ford, Susan O’Dwyer, CEO of Make-A-Wish Ireland, said: “We are delighted to welcome Ford on board this year as the main supporter of our Make-A-Wish Crystal Ball – a crucial part of our fundraising activity that enables us to make a huge difference in so many children’s lives.

I look forward to working with Ciarán and his team in establishing Ford as one of our long-term supporters.”

Tickets for the Make-A-Wish Crystal Ball cost €150 per person and include drinks reception, complimentary wine, a four course meal and entertainment.  Tickets can be purchased on www.makeawish.ie/shop or by emailing [email protected] or ph.: (01) 205 2007.
