VIEW OUR WINNER, KYM HOARY, FROM PORTUMNA COMMUNITY SCHOOL

STUNNING: Kim Hoary from Galway, our Debutante of the YearIt's the biggest night on the social calendar as teenage girls all across Ireland bid farewell to their school days in a haze of glamorous gowns and tiaras..

And this winter the Sunday World carefully investigated all the latest styles before featuring a selection of glamorous debutantes, for you the reader to decide the ultimate winner.

Thanks again to all the girls who entered showing us just how stylish Irish girls are.

So here we introduce the top debutante for 2009. It's the lovely Kym Hoary, age 19 from Portumna Community School in Co Galway.

She won your votes with her classic timeless style as displayed here. Kym had an idea of the dress she wanted for her big night and having no luck finding it in the shops, she commissioned the gown herself with the help of a local fashion designer. And it actually worked to her favour at the bargain price of just €200 and no fears of another girl wearing the same dress.

Paparazzi

Her hair was pinned up to give the illusion of length. Her sister helped apply her make-up and she got her glowing tan from the local beautician. She describes the whole process as great fun and spent no more than €500 on the night's preparations.

Then came her paparazzi moment where she posed like a true pro. Her dad's a photographer so she knew how to work her best angles.

All that was left was enjoying her special night which she says exceeded her expectations.

Kim Hoary has won a makeover to include hair and make-up, a fashion shoot in our magazine and a fashion fix to the tune of €1,000 from Littlewoods Ireland, who stock exclusive brands Love Label, South, Savoir as well all the top highstreet names such as like Lipsy, Miss Selfridge, Miss Sixty, Oasis and many more.

See www.littlewoodsireland.ie for the latest looks.

Look out for her next year in the Sunday World Magazine as she models some of the Littlewoods Ireland Spring trends.
