Snow award is on party Patrol
It's always nice to be ...to party asked to present awards and myself and Kathryn Thomas were chuffed to be asked to present one of the most coveted at the Meteors recently - the award for Best Irish Band. But, when the recipients Snow Patrol failed to turn up to collect it (we're told lead singer Gary broke his jaw), host Amanda Byram insisted I take the award with me I think she meant off the stage. I was determined to make sure it got into safe hands. Backstage there was no sign of a Snow Patrol management/agent rep, so I held on to the award. When it cam time for the after-show parties I had no option but to bring it along on our adventure. Before long, Snow Patrol's Meteor was the life and soul of parties in The Four Seasons, The Dylan Hotel and The Wright Venue in Howth. It was at the bar, on the dancefloor and being chauffeured around Dublin in a limo. I just hope Snow Patrol hurry up and collect it - I think the award might be developing a bit of an ego as it has already set up its own facebook page - 'Snow Patrol's Meteor' - how very Rock'n'Roll!
It is time to gag GaGa's gimp mask show if there are kids at the gigs
T SEEMS like an age since I was at the concert, but the pint-sized, foulmouthed, musical genius from the States is still taking up air-time and column inches. No, I'm not talking about Prince telling Irish concert promoter Denis Desmond to 'chill' over a couple of 'mil', I'm talking about Lady GaGa in the O2 two weeks ago. Yes, the concert was 'awesome', risque, explicit, even a little scary (or am I just a bit wimp when it comes to images of people in gimp masks eating bloody hearts?), ...controversial but I have to say that myself What do language alone and Peter you think? made me cringe were SO email:Lorraine.keane for them. Naive as relieved we @sundayworld.com they may be (even didn't give in to I noticed her lyrics 'I our six-year-old want to take a ride on your and take her with disco stick' when the CD us. came out) how are they to Those parents know what the contents of a who did bring live show might contain? their pre-teens We have specific censorGONG: (and there ship laws and parental Snow seemed to be advice covering films, ads, Patrol's plenty) have CDs and magazines, but not award was reason to be for live shows. Blown away
Five days and counting till I have to hand back my crown at the VIP Style Awards this Friday. It was an eventful year, but I'm not sure I fulfiled my obligation as Ireland's Most Stylish lady on trips to the supermarket or the school but thanks to Peter Mark (and Garnier of course!) I have managed to have plenty of 'good hair' days for most of my reign. I'll really miss my free blowdrys from Ruth and all the team in Peter Mark in Dundrum. A special mention has to go to "The Queen of the Curly Blow Dry" and my NBF Karen Murphy. She's one perk I am not willing to give up any time soon.

ing terms you are obliged to make it known prior to transmission that a programme `may contain language and material of a sexually explicit nature'. Something similar on the ads or websites selling tickets would help us make a decision when buying. So, in future, if for example Katy Perry is going to come to the O2, get tipsy and kiss a girl and like it, live on stage, she should let the promoter know and they should let us know. For now, I'm off to book tickets for Peppa Pig at the Olympia no chance of pseudoS&M lesbian action there I can tell you. No chance of getting the husband to go either then.
