Tis the season to shop - and adopt fab new trends, writes NIAMH BYRNE
NEW season means a whole new wardrobe ...and plenty of girly afternoons in town stitching your look together for autumn/ winter 2010. With so many gorgeous trends hitting the shops, it is easy to be overwhelmed. Fashion blogger Lorna Weightman (pictured) talks us through this season's looks, advising on key pieces to add to your existing wardrobe, and explains how to mix styles to get the most out of your shopping spree. By day, Lorna masquerades as a stylish nine-tofive accountant for KPMG, but by night she indulges in her true passion - fashion. She started reading Vogue at the age of five, and has modelled for top Irish agency Morgan for 12 years.

Catwalk Inspiration: D& G, Proenza Schouler Key Looks: Scandinavian-inspired reindeer and snowflake, pom poms and this season's coatigan. Avoid: Alpine print trousers look like PJs. Lorna says: Niamh's coatigan is a great copy of Proenza Schouler's Alpine knit jacket, for a fraction of the price. I've paired it with black shorts and classic black opaque tights

for a more streamline look because it is very easy to look swamped in this trend. Aishling's knit dress is lovely and soft, not scratchy. It can be dressed up for night, although it could get a bit sweaty in a club. I have mixed trends here, bringing in the textured trend in Aishling's faux fur hat and Niamh's fingerless gloves.
